Charity Spotlight ~ LAWS
As some of you know, I am on the Board of Directors for the Loudoun Abused Women's Shelter (LAWS). LAWS is a comprehensive organization dedicated to serving families that experience domestic violence. Yes, they do have a shelter but they have so much more. They have specialized services for the children. These services have assisted so many in forging ahead with successful futures despite their past. I have heard story after story of the positive effects of their services and the gratefulness of the mothers. It is a heart-wrenching issue that I am devoted to counter. If you have read Getting to Know Paula Grace or visited The Beautiful Home Store you know that a portion of my profits is donated to organizations aiding children. LAWS is one of them.
On Saturday, October 3rd, LAWS is hosting their Annual Gala. The Gala specifically supports the children services. It is a magnificent event held at the Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, Virginia. There is wonderful food, dancing and an incredible silent auction. The silent auction boasts everything from Washington Redskin paraphernalia to fabulous vacation home use. I picked up a beautiful hand crafted zebra beaded purse at the auction (yes, I staked it out). I always donate hours of my services.
There are Sponsorship opportunities. For sponsoring a table of ten, your name and / or business will be highlighted for all. There s a Platinum Sponsor for $5000.00 and a Gold Sponsor for $2500.00. If you are interested in individual tickets, they are $225.00. My husband, a few friends, and I will be attending.
If you would like to participate, please send me a email at paula@paulagracedesigns.com. I will be happy to assist. If you would like to make a donation, thank you very much. LAWS enables you to make a secure donation right on their website.
Thank you for reading this.

This sounds fantastic! I would love to attend, and wish I lived closer to that I could. I have a soft spot for people dealing with such issues, and will often donate my gently worn/or unworn fashion and handbags to a local Women and Children's Shelter. You are an amazing person, Paula Grace, with so much talent and so much heart~
