Console Whispers

I don't know about you but I have placed more consoles than I can recall. Sometimes one just wants a console to play a supporting role versus standing out. I'm going to share my console secrets with you. Here are the two most versatile consoles I have found. This is the Milo Made to Measure (Milo M2M) Console by Hickory Chair. That is exactly what it is ~ made to measure. Plus Hickory Chair has so many finish selections, one is bound to work well.

These are the Skinny Consoles from Worlds Away. I have placed these so many times. They are truly thin ~ 10" max. These are wonderful when space is at a premium. They come in hammered gold and silver and gold and silver leaf so literally they can accommodate any decor. The shelves make them easy to personalize.

Both of the them are slender, have sleek lines thus adding little mass to the design. I have placed two of each side by side behind long sofas and sectionals. It looks fabulous and does not over power the space.

There you have it. Consoles I am truly in love with!

Worlds Away

Worlds Away is a favorite vendor of mine. They have unusual pieces. They are my go to if I need a very thin console or side table. The console is called the "Skinny Console," (go figure) and the skinny side tables are called "Porter." The Porter comes in three sizes.

They have introduced so many new products, its unbelievable! I thought I would showcase a few for you and share some of my old favorites. Most pieces are available in different finishes, which is always nice. First some new case goods.....They also have some new lovely mirrors...

And lighting ~ portables and pendants.....

I love these pendants....

Now for some oldies but goodies. In addition to the ones at the top, I love.....

You have seen the one above show up in a couple of my designs.
I have used the piece above as a vanity in a bedroom and as a desk / console behind a sofa in a great room. It is lovely to have a pretty work space right in the family room ~ mom can do some paperwork while still being with the family.

This piece is a wonderful side table ~ very chic.

I love these pendants. The stars I have used in a group of three at differing heights. It looks amazing. They have clear glass or antique mirror. Both are stunning.

They even have coronas. This one is over my daughter's bed ~ upside down of course so it looks like a crown for my little princess.

Worlds Away lets you peruse their site. It is to-the-trade only but you may see their full line and if you see something you fall in love with, you may purchase it through The Beautiful Home Store.

Where would you put your World Away pieces?
