And they can be the fun part of any project, the icing on the cake!! I think it comes down to money and perhaps the idea that accessories should be things collected over time that have personal meaning, rather than shopped for all at once. I suggest clients shop their homes for some of the accessories, things that might not be put to their best use elsewhere may find new life in the new design.
ReplyDeleteI think you are right. Of course shopping in the client's home is part of almost any project. I am speaking about the ones that when I go back to their homes months, even years later, the room is still undressed. I have been pleasantly surprised too by what my clients have come up with. Maybe its me ~ just seeing something undone makes me a tiny bit sad :(
ReplyDeleteSometimes when I see an all white room, I feel like it really lacks some unique accessories, cool flooring, a pop of color, etc. That first room is awesome! The white is perfect with that flooring and the accessories! I love it!
